WHAT MATERIALS DO I NEED TO PRODUCE FLAP DISCS ?

To produce Flap Discs, the manufacturer need prepare several raw materials:

  1. Sanding Cloth Strips

  2. Backing

  3. Glue

  4. other materials: labels, packing materials.

1. Sanding Cloth Strip for Flap Disc Production

Normally the width is from 20mm to 40mm and abrasive grit is 40#,60#,80#,120#. it depends on the flap disc size and type.

2. Backings for Flap Disc Production
​

Normally, the backing material is fiberglass, plastic or metal

3. Glue
Normally, for automatic flap disc machine production, we use one-component epoxy glue as adhesive agent to bond abrasive cloth flaps to the fiberglass backing.
